If you are struggling with a miscarriage, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Grief can be a painful process that has many different emotions attached to it. You may feel anger, sadness, confusion, or even guilt. All of these feelings are normal and valid. You are not alone with those feelings. Thousands of women have gone through a similar process. It is estimated that 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage. However, you still may feel that you are alone in your grief. Whether or not the pregnancy was intended, the experience of miscarriage can be painful both physically and/or emotionally.
There is no timeline for the grieving process. Some days may be heavy, while others may feel lighter. It is important to remember that healing is not linear, and the grieving process varies from person to person. Give yourself grace, kindness, and, most importantly, time to heal and move forward. There is no right way to grieve, but there is an abundant amount of resources, including websites, support groups, books, etc, that can help you in your healing process. Even if it is hard to see, there is hope. We encourage you and your partner to look through these resources and decide what will be most helpful for you. We also encourage you to seek support from a counselor, support group, or friend. You do not need to walk through grief alone.
