How long will my appointment take?

We recommend that you allow an hour, to an hour and a half, from the time of your scheduled appointment.

Will my visit be confidential?

Absolutely. AVA Care adheres to a strict confidentiality policy. When you enter AVA Care, you can be assured that we will do all we can to ensure your privacy and confidentiality. AVA Care will hold in confidence all the information that you provide unless the law requires otherwise.

Can I bring my partner with me?

Yes, we encourage you to bring your partner with you. Male client advocates are available to meet with him to answer questions that he may have.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-in appointments may be possible for pregnancy testing. If there is an available appointment and sufficient staff, we will do our best to work you in. However, to ensure you can be seen, we recommend that you make an appointment online or by calling 540.434.7528.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You will need to bring a photo ID with you to your appointment. Student ID’s are acceptable if you do not have a driver’s license.

Will I be able to talk to a healthcare professional?

Yes, nurses are on staff and available. They will administer your pregnancy test and answer your medical questions.

Is there a cost?

No, there is no cost for your appointment or any of the services you may receive at AVA Care.
