We offer laboratory quality urine pregnancy tests that are administered by a licensed healthcare professional. A positive pregnancy test (including those taken at home) suggests a high probability that you are pregnant. However, the result should be confirmed by an obstetric ultrasound.
We have licensed nurses available to address your medical questions and concerns regarding pregnancy and sexual health.
After a positive pregnancy test, you will be assessed for eligibility for a limited obstetric ultrasound to confirm and diagnose your pregnancy. In the state of VA, an ultrasound is required by law at least 24 hours prior to an abortion. AVA Care’s free ultrasound services meet this requirement.
AVA Care has trained staff that provides support and education in pregnancy decisions. In order to better serve you, your client advocate will talk with you about your situation and your concerns.
Trained male client advocates are available to talk with men who are facing an unintended pregnancy with their partner. Click here for more information.
